Ms. Aparna Sajeevan
Ms. Aparna Sajeevan is a doctoral candidate specializing in Molecular Forensic Anthropology at the Forensic Anthropology Unit, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Yenepoya Medical College, Yenepoya (Deemed-to-be University), Mangalore.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology with Nanotechnology from Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, and a Master's degree in Forensic Science from Jain University, Bangalore. Additionally, she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Anthropology and Odontology, the first of its kind in India, from Yenepoya (Deemed-to-be University).
She has served as a Lecturer in the Department of Forensic Science at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, Mangalore. She is also a founding Director of KAINO AVINYAS Pvt Ltd, a startup dedicated to research and innovation in forensic science and healthcare services.
She has presented her research works at various national and international conferences. She was awarded with Best Poster Presentation at FORYENSICON 2025, the National Conference organized by the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Yenepoya Medical College. In addition to her research activities, she delivers lectures/sessions to Nursing students, Medical graduates and other professionals in the domain of Forensic science, Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Taphonomy and Molecular Forensics. She has also assisted and served as an organizing committee member for several national-level conferences.
Her research interests encompass forensic anthropology, molecular and DNA Forensics, and Forensic Taphonomy. Known for her strong work ethic, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills. She is committed to advancing forensic science through rigorous research and practical application.
